Been trying to do cluny leaves. but these nadgered fingers of mine won't stay in place with out getting severe cramp.
SOLUTION
Pro's:-
Cost's nothing.
Con's:-
See equipment source!!
Equipment and method of procurement.

1 Steal wifes cork, pricking board ( she does Maltese style bobbin lace ) .

Here are a couple of examples.

2 Raid wifes needlework box for pins.
Thats it.
I hope that the folowing pictures are clear enough

I just need to work on how the leaf is shaped now and hopefully things should be fine

Hello, Bob, I sympathise about crappy threads...I have found internet invaluable for buying stuff for tatting...or even e-bay.
DMC 80 is one of the easiest threads, and maybe if your wife has lace-making supplies she may have some in her box. It looks rather fine, but is a lot easier to use than many of the thicker threads.

Fancy stealing your wife's 'bits and pieces' - what a disgrace!!!!!! I'm sure she was willing to share anyway. LOVE your tatting and her bobbin lace (used to do that, once!). Well done on the clunies - I've just had lessons from Mimi Dillman the 'cluny queen'. SO glad I've just found your blog too.
May your knots always flip for you.

Very good work and smart improvising. I also love your wife's bobbin lace, especially the Madonna. The Madonna and Child are my favorite subjects for woodcarving.

Hello Bob, I was wondering if your wife could tell me where she got the pricking pattern for the Maddonna she did in lace? I reallly want to make that in lace. Please contact me at jbutterskotch@hotmail.com. I will pay for the pattern and instructions even if they are hers if she will just copy them and send them to me. Thank YOu. Jane Beachnau
